Privacy Policy · Try Answer What

Bottom line: Your casting input, question text and results are never collected, uploaded or sold by us. Those calculations happen entirely inside your own browser, and we cannot read them. Pages are delivered by Cloudflare, which keeps routine operational logs (see section 3).

1. What we collect

We run no backend that receives your inputs. Your numbers, questions and results never leave your device unless you explicitly ask for an AI reading.

2. Cookies & Tracking

No cookies, no behavioural advertising, and no first-party analytics of our own. Records produced fall into two kinds: Cloudflare's routine access logs for delivering the page (section 3), and aggregate performance metrics from Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cross-site tracking — see below).

3. Hosting & Third Parties

Hosting (Cloudflare). The static files for this site are hosted on Cloudflare's network, which connects your device to the nearest edge node. As with any website, this layer handles your IP address, browser and device signature (User-Agent), request time, the page path requested, and the status code, in order to deliver the page, absorb attacks and debug faults. Cloudflare retains routine operational logs under its own privacy policy. We do not control this and cannot switch it off. The exact fields and retention periods are set out in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy, which we cannot rewrite. A VPN or proxy reduces what is exposed.

Performance analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Pages are delivered by Cloudflare. For visitors outside the EU, the live page loads Cloudflare's Web Analytics beacon (per the dashboard's setting, pages served to EU visitors do not get the snippet). It measures aggregate metrics such as page views, referrers, visitor country/region and browser/device classes. It uses no cookies, does no cross-site tracking and builds no personal profile, and is separate from the hosting access logs above. Fields and data handling are set out in Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation. Your casting inputs, question text and results never pass through any analytics. Those calculations happen only in your browser.

AI & partner slots. When you ask for an AI reading, the hexagram text goes to the provider you chose (for example DeepSeek, OpenAI or ChatGPT) and is governed by that provider's privacy policy. Opening a link alone sends nothing; only pasting the text shares it with that provider under their terms. Any partner slot on the site comes from a third party and loads nothing until you click.

What "offline" actually covers. Casting and almanac calculations run entirely in your browser. Your numbers, question text and results never leave the device as part of computing them, and we cannot read them. The hosting logs above are simply what it takes to deliver the page to you. These are two different things, and we would rather spell it out than let a slogan imply more.

4. Local Storage & Clearing It

Your language choice and optional AI settings (including the API key) live in the browser's localStorage. Clearing browser data resets them. Clear them anytime in your browser settings.

5. Children

The tool is aimed at users 18 and over. Under-18s should use it with a guardian. We do not knowingly collect children's personal data.

6. Your rights

Because we hold none of your data, "deleting" it just means clearing this site's data in your browser. That takes effect immediately.

7. Updates

If this policy is updated, the change will appear on this page. Continued use means you accept the latest version.
